Vedic Discourse
ISKCON Burlington regularly conducts spiritual discourses to systematically teach plethora of Vedic Scriptures like Srimad Bhagvad Gita. Srimad Bhagavatam, Chaitanya Charitamrit etc. These Vedic descriptions are so auspicious that by reciting, hearing or reading about them, one can get multitude of spiritual and material benefit. Join us in person every Saturday at Iskcon Burlington Centre.
Mantra Meditation
In this age of quarrel and anxiety (Kali-yuga), Krishna incarnates as His Holy Name. The Vedic scripture Kali-Santarana Upanisad mentions that the best mantra recommended for this age is the Hare Krishna mantra : Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare. Mantra meditation involves repeating the mantra in mood of prayer or as a form of meditation and focusing the mind on the sound vibration of the mantra.
Free Vegetarian feast
ISKCON Burlington invites you to enjoy weekly free Vegetarian Feast. Spiritual seekers and devotees get together to experience blessing of the lord in the form of prasadam. Every Saturday evening 5-7pm at Iskcon Burlington Centre
The devotees of the Lord are released from all kinds of sins because they eat food which is offered first for sacrifice. (Bhagvad Gita 3.13)
Kirtan
Just like there are yoga postures for the body to relax and strengthen and tone, there are mantras (special sound vibrations found in the ancient yoga texts) that act as a revitalizing tonic for the mind. Using these mantras for meditation brings the mind to rest in a space free from stress and anxiety. The word “mantra” literally means to “free the mind”.
